Become a Volunteer at the NoHo Home Alliance Drop-In Access Center to help create a safe space for the unhoused population to exist in community and have their needs met.
Why: NHHA's Drop-In Access Center provides a safe space for unhoused neighbors to access dignified services (food, showers, clothing, mail, medical and mental health services, etc.). Volunteers operate our service stations and directly connect with unhoused guests in an environment that promotes safety and security for all. Your volunteer work contributes to a healthier community for the unhoused!
Who: NoHo Home Alliance is a nonprofit membership organization of residents and stakeholders in the East San Fernando Valley. NoHo Home Alliance is committed to addressing local issues and improving the health of our community.
What to Expect:
The role of this Volunteer opportunity is to assist with operating the Access Center for Unhoused Neighbors.
Responsibilities Include:
Serving Food
Cooking Food
Operating Clothing Closet
Serving Hygiene Items
Checking-In Guests
Operating Mail Station
What's Required
Minimum Age:18+
Complete Training with NoHo Home Alliance - A NoHo Alliance representative will provide you with more information regarding training upon expressing interest in this Volunteer opportunity.

Description
Volunteers support our Drop-In Access Center. The Center connects with people experiencing homelessness to offer services and build a healthy community. There are multiple roles from helping cook meals, sort donations, to help people learn about their housing options. Outside of our drop in program, there are other ways to get involved, including weekend outreach and all-ages volunteer days.
