Make a Lasting Impact: Volunteer with Amuno Rural Hub in Uganda!

Are you passionate about education and community development? Join Amuno Rural Hub as a volunteer and help transform the lives of rural children through literacy, numeracy, STEAM education, and life skills training.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our After-School Program and Literacy on Wheels Initiative, where we provide educational support to children aged 3 to 18 at our community center and through mobile outreach programs.

As a volunteer, you will:
✅ Teach and mentor children in reading, writing, and math
✅ Facilitate hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities
✅ Engage in play-based and interactive learning approaches
✅ Help design creative and educational materials
✅ Support life skills training to empower young learners
✅ Work alongside local educators and community leaders

This is an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in rural Ugandan culture, gain meaningful teaching experience, and make a real impact on children’s futures.

Whether you're an educator, student, or someone passionate about making a difference, we welcome you to be part of our mission to bridge the education gap!

Mission Statement

To empower rural children through education and community outreach.

Description

Amuno Rural Hub, founded in May 2022 by Anthony Okiria, supports rural children facing challenges in accessing quality education. Many walk long distances to school and lack food, supplies, and healthcare, yet must compete academically with urban peers.

Our mission is to provide equal opportunities through literacy, numeracy, STEAM, and life skills education using play-based learning and the Teach at the Right Level approach. The Literacy Champions program empowers youth aged 13-18 to advocate for education.

We also provide nutritious meals, basic healthcare, school supplies, and assistance with school fees. For families, we offer programs like distributing female goats, creating savings and loan groups, and training in small businesses like soap making and mushroom growing.

Since inception, Amuno Rural Hub has impacted 1,028+ children and 125+ families. Our work goes beyond education, it equips rural children for success and fosters resilient communities, ensuring every child can dream big and thrive.
