IFEL's mission is to eradicate the systemic barriers that prevent people from historically excluded populations from being able to access the knowledge, networks, and capital required for entrepreneurial success and wealth creation. Black-owned small businesses are at the core of our communities, and the IFEL team is looking forward to celebrating them this month with two 100% virtual volunteer programs for you to create shared value: Hands-on-Help sessions: Work one-on-one with a small business owner in a virtual breakout room facilitated by the IFEL team, focusing on a specific topic: either social media marketing, website review, or financial projections. These "one and done" sessions last two hours. Success Circles: Are you interested in volunteering but the Hackathon topics are not your areas of expertise? As a part of our Success Circles opportunity, you'll work one-on-one with a small business owner on a specific topic that aligns your everyday business skills with their capacity needs. You and the business owner decide on a time that works for both of you, making it flexible for your schedule. The commitment is typically 2-3 meetings, ranging from one to two hours per meeting. Ready to get started? Sign up for a Volunteer Interview at the link provided so we can find your best fit as an IFEL volunteer: https://calendly.com/amanda-kier/volunteer-interview.
