Position Overview:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, We seek a visionary Executive Director to lead M2D into its next phase of global growth. The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on operational experience to expand our impact and strengthen our mentorship programs, team of volunteers, expansion, and execution of its mission. She will initially develop deep knowledge of field, core programs, operations, and business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Set organizational strategy and drive execution of M2D's mission and goals
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and community leaders
- Represent M2D at high-level events and in media opportunities
- Lead innovation in mentorship program design and implementation
Fundraising & Development
- Create and execute comprehensive fundraising strategy
- Cultivate relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners
- Oversee grant writing and reporting processes
- Develop sustainable revenue streams through program expansion
Operations & Program Management
- Oversee daily operations, including program delivery and evaluation
- Manage budget and financial planning
- Develop and implement policies and procedures
- Drive continuous improvement of mentorship programs
- Track and report program metrics and outcomes
Volunteer & Staff Management
- Build and lead high-performing teams of staff and volunteers
- Develop volunteer recruitment and retention strategies
- Create training and development programs for mentors
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture
Qualifications and Skills:
Required
- 10+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit or relevant sectors
- Proven track record in fundraising and donor relations
- Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to women's empowerment and mentorship
Desired
- Experience with intergenerational programs
- Background in leadership development
- Knowledge of impact measurement and evaluation
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Experience with volunteer management systems
Commitment
- Attend all board meetings and key organizational events as required.
- Approximate time commitment: 10-20 hours per month
