Position Overview:
Are you passionate about fostering meaningful relationships and ensuring a smooth mentorship experience? As a Mentorship Program Liaison with Mothers to Daughters (M2D), you will play a key role in recruiting mentees, ensuring their eligibility, and maintaining strong engagement between mentorship pairs. This volunteer role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is detail-oriented, and is committed to supporting mentorship success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentee Recruitment & Eligibility Checks
- Assist in recruiting potential mentee candidates, ensuring they align with program eligibility criteria.
- Conduct eligibility assessments and support the selection process of mentees.
- Maintain clear and organized records of mentee applications and approvals.
- Mentor-Mentee Relationship Coordination
- Manage a portfolio of mentor-mentee pairs, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for all participants.
- Conduct regular check-ins to track progress, provide support, and address any concerns.
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding calls to set expectations and gather feedback.
- Send reminder emails for mid-program surveys
- Program Administration & Communication:
- Maintain accurate mentor-mentee records and update program databases as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for mentorship pairs, addressing inquiries and providing resources.
- Support communication efforts by drafting and sending reminder emails, program updates, and event invitations.
- Document feedback and insights from mentees and mentors to inform program improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in program coordination, recruitment, or administrative support is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with mentors and mentees.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage mentorship records.
- Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email communication platforms.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the mentorship team.
Commitment
- Attend team meetings and key organizational events as required.
- Approximate time commitment: 4 hours per week
- Respond to email or Slack messages within 48 hours
