Position Overview:

The Director of Fundraising will lead M2D's fundraising initiatives, creating sustainable funding streams to support our mentorship/leadership programs and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Fundraising

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategy
  • Set and achieve annual fundraising goals
  • Create compelling grant proposals and reports
  • Manage donor relationships and stewardship programs
  • Organize fundraising events and campaigns

Development Operations

  • Oversee donor database management
  • Track and analyze fundraising metrics
  • Manage development budget
  • Coordinate with program teams for impact reporting
  • Supervise development staff and volunteers

External Relations

  • Build relationships with foundations and corporate donors
  • Represent M2D at networking events
  • Collaborate with marketing team on donor communications
  • Develop fundraising materials and presentations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7+ years nonprofit fundraising experience
  • Proven success in major gifts and grant acquisition
  • Experience with donor management systems
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Deep understanding of women's empowerment initiatives

Commitment

  • Attend all board meetings and key organizational events as required.
  • Approximate time commitment: 10-15 hours monthly
