Position Overview:
Veterans Aid Network is seeking a dedicated and passionate Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator to support our mission of assisting veterans in need. This role focuses on fundraising efforts, including securing donations, identifying event sponsorships, and assisting with grant writing. This is a volunteer position with the potential to transition into a paid role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
Identify and reach out to potential donors, sponsors, and partners to secure financial support.
Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events, including securing sponsorships and managing event logistics.
Research and write grant proposals to secure funding from foundations and other grant-making organizations.
Maintain accurate records of donations, sponsorships, and grant applications.
Collaborate with the team to create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns.
Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in fundraising, sales, or grant writing is a plus but not required.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Passion for supporting veterans and a commitment to the mission of Veterans Aid Network.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
