Welcome to the Mardi Gras Beach Clean Up! Join us at 1401 Gulf Blvd for a fun evening of cleaning up the beach and celebrating Mardi Gras together.

Join us Saturday, March 1st from 4-6pm for a Mardi Gras Themed Beach Clean Up!! We will be at Groupers on the Gulf, 1401 Gulf Bvd, IRB.

Bring cash for the 50/50 raffle if you want in. We will start the 50/50 raffle Monday, Feb 24th at Groupers to let that pot really cook up! Winner be picked at 6pm event day at Groupers. Make sure to get your tickets.

Live Music from Those Meddling Kids starting at 5pm.

While supplies last, volunteers can get Gumbo made from scratch by a true New Orleanean!

If you have it, show off that purple, green and gold attire!!

At IRB Trash Tribe, our mission is to protect our marine ecosystems and the marine life that inhabits them.

Description

Our tribe is made up of passionate and dedicated volunteers and business partners who are committed to protecting our marine ecosystems and all the marine life that call it home. Marine debris, commonly referred to as marine litter or ocean trash, poses a significant threat to sea life and marine ecosystems. Effective removal and management of marine debris are crucial for protecting sea life.

We host fun beach clean ups to remove marine debris from our coastline and waterways to further help protect the sea turtles, dolphins, whales, fish, corals, and all other marine life.

We are also permitted to remove derelict (ghost) crab traps the waterways. Ghost gear refers to abandoned, lost, or discarded fishing gear, which poses a significant threat to marine life, including entanglement which can lead to drowning and death.

Please also consider donating $5 towards a beach clean up event or check our needed supplies on our amazon wish list.
