Volunteers are needed to help lead group fitness sessions for women and single mothers that the Slavic Refugee and Immgrant Services Organisation (SRISO) serves.
Create a welcoming and supportive environment where participants can improve their physical health and build confidence. Volunteers will coordinate with SRISO to develop a monthly fitness calendar with local park locations and activities such as yoga, walking, or aerobics.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per month for a minimum of 6 months.
Onboarding Process: Background check
Required Skills/Experience: Must have basic knowledge of fitness or wellness practices. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not required. Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for creating a positive group experience are key.
Physical Requirements: Unfortunately, this opportunity is not able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations and the space where this project takes place is not wheelchair accessible.
