Ruthmere Tour Guide: As a tour guide, you will help to make learning fun for visitors of all ages! Inspire minds, young and old, to discover local history and heritage through insightful and educational guided and group tours of both the Havilah Beardsley House and Ruthmere Museum. Tour Guides may also be asked to help with Ruthmere Events, like Free Family Sunday.

Description

The Ruthmere Foundation has an abundance of volunteer opportunities for persons with a wide variety of interests. We are looking for tour guides at both the Ruthmere Museum and the Havilah Beardsley House, gardeners, and special events assistance. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of Ruthmere operations! All active volunteers receive immediate complimentary Ruthmere Private Membership (value of $60 annually) as a thank you for your participation in making Ruthmere thrive!

  • Must be at least 16
  • Orientation or Training
  • Every volunteer is required to go through an orientation period before they conduct their first tour. There will be a 3-day training period at Ruthmere and a 2-day training period at the Havilah Beardsley House.
