Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics North Carolina

Happy swimmer

Are you ready to chill out for a great cause? Special Olympics North Carolina is hosting the annual "Freezin' for a Reason" Polar Plunge at Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe, and we need dedicated volunteers to help make a splash.

Brave athletes and fundraisers will be taking an ice-cold dip to support Special Olympics programs, and we need your help to ensure everything goes off without a shiver.

When & Where?

February 20 - Help us break the ice with event setup from 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM
February 22 - Join the fr-r-r-r-eezing fun from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park
3910 S Holden Rd, Greensboro, NC 27406

How You Can Help:

We’re looking for 15 enthusiastic volunteers to:

  • Help set up the event (February 20)
  • Welcome athletes and participants as they brace for the cold
  • Register and check in the brave plungers
  • Cheer on the plungers as they take the ultimate icy leap
  • Assist with packing up after the event
Why Volunteer?

Not only will you be helping thousands of incredible athletes gain confidence and reach their goals, but you’ll also be part of an event that’s as fun as it is frigid. This is your chance to give back, make unforgettable memories, and maybe even test your own cold tolerance.

Let’s freeze for a reason and make this Polar Plunge an event to remember.
