ORGANIZATION: Ride for Life Southern Tier AIDS Program

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer or intern to join our team as an assistant to the Event Coordinator for the Southern Tier AIDS Program !

Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning and organizing the AIDS Ride for Life, a 100 mile cycling fundraiser.

- Coordinate logistics, vendor management, and participant engagement

- Collaborate with team members and volunteers to ensure event success

- Promote event through social media and university channels

- Attend event to provide on-site support.

The date of the event is: September 6th, 2025.

What We Offer:

Requirements:

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Interest in non-profit work and community engagement

-Ability to lift heavy bins for organizing and transport

Time Commitment:

Flexible hours available. About 2-6 hours per week. We can work around your vacation/travel schedule. Remote and In-Person availability required

All reasons to be optimistic about eventually eradicating new cases of AIDS for future generations. Make no mistake about the fact that HIV may be with us well into the future. There is much to do. The money raised through the AIDS Ride For Life for the Southern Tier AIDS Program is critical for continuing the progression of prevention and education. Please join us for the Ride of your life!

Description

The AIDS Ride For Life is a fully supported 42, 90 or 100 mile bike ride beginning in Ithaca, NY. Indoor cyclists are joining us around many communities! We are all raising money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Every year, this landmark ride around Cayuga Lake in the beautiful New York State Finger Lakes Region delivers a life-changing experience for hundreds of participants from all backgrounds and fitness levels who are united in spirit by a common desire to do something altruistic. Whether you are considering your first ride or are a seasoned veteran, we want you with us at the AIDS Ride For Life 2016. You belong here.

This popular annual Ithaca/Southern Tier AIDS Program tradition brings together hundreds of riders, volunteers, and sponsors. The Ride has raised millions for STAP's eight county HIV/AIDS prevention programs and services throughout its eigheen-year history.
