Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children? Do you believe in the power of connection and mentorship? We're looking for volunteers to join our mission to link families around the world with street children, orphans, and vulnerable children in Uganda through a heartfelt handwritten letter exchange program.

The Impact:

By becoming a virtual volunteer, you'll play a vital role in:

ü Providing emotional support and connection to children who need it most

ü Fostering global understanding and empathy

ü Empowering children to share their stories and dreams

ü Creating a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children

What Virtual Pen Pal program Volunteers Will Do:

As a volunteer, your role will be to:

1. Reach out to local communities: Connect with schools, community centres, and places of worship to spread the word about our letter exchange program.

2. Find families willing to participate: Engage with families who are interested in exchanging letters with Ugandan children and provide them with information about the program.

3. Facilitate the letter exchange: Collect and distribute letters between families and Ugandan children, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.

4. Act as guardians and role models: Offer guidance and support to families as they navigate the letter exchange process, promoting empathy, understanding, and positive relationships.

5. Share the experience: Provide feedback and stories about the impact of the letter exchange program, helping us to improve and expand our mission.

Requirements:

Ø Passion for working with children and families

Ø Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ø Ability to commit to regular communication with families and Ugandan children through foundation

Ø Basic computer skills for facilitating letter exchanges

The Dream Foundation of Uganda is a non-profit children development organization established with mandate of involving children in the fight against HIV/AIDS, illiteracy, corruption and poverty through participatory and advocacy activities. Our aim and steering goal is to promote education, promote the health of children and their overall welfare, reduce corruption and the effects of HIV/AIDS. We help children discover; develop their talents and special abilities, and empower them to utilize the same in the fight against HIV/AIDS, poverty, illiteracy, and corruption.
