Artist -in- Residence

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

· Provide artistic interpretation and instruct/display technique for the enjoyment and interpretation of Capulin Volcano and its surroundings for the public. The Artist in Residence is expected to leave a "piece" at the end of their tenure to remain in the parks permanent collection (a print or digital copy is fine and can be turned in after the end of your service term).

· The Artist in Residence will also provide two public programs or an information style booth for what it is they are interpretating at Capulin. Additional programs can be done if desired but are not required. Artist in Residence may be approached by visitors as they are creating and are expected to be friendly and approachable as they are representing both themselves and the park.

  • There are two Artist in Residence terms, one for the month of the October and One for November.
  • Please provide art examples through your website information or sent to the park Artist in Residence coordinator
  • Reference checks will be carried out for all applicants.

End Date - 2025-10-31
