California Civil Liberties Advocacy (CCLA) is seeking a creative and tech-savvy Social Media Manager to oversee our online presence and drive engagement with our mission. In this role, you will develop and execute social media campaigns, create compelling content, and interact with our audience across platforms. By managing our digital voice, you will play a critical role in educating the public, growing our support base, and advancing our advocacy efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain CCLA’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to promote our mission and programs.
  • Create and curate engaging content, such as posts, graphics, and videos, tailored to each platform.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to refine strategies.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Stay informed about social media trends and best practices to ensure our platforms remain dynamic and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing social media accounts for nonprofits or organizations (preferred).
  • Strong writing, editing, and creative skills.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Knowledge of civil liberties and social justice issues (a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Founded in 2013, CCLA is a grassroots organization dedicated to defending civil liberties and personal freedoms guaranteed by the California and U.S. Constitutions.
