California Civil Liberties Advocacy (CCLA) is seeking a skilled and resourceful Grant Writer & Fundraiser to support our nonprofit’s mission of protecting and promoting civil liberties. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and developing effective fundraising campaigns. Your work will ensure that CCLA has the financial resources needed to expand its impact and advocacy efforts. This is a crucial position for someone passionate about nonprofit development and committed to advancing social justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with CCLA’s mission and programs.
- Write and submit compelling grant proposals and reports to foundations, corporations, and government entities.
- Develop and execute creative fundraising campaigns to engage donors and secure contributions.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding organizations.
- Collaborate with the board and staff to set fundraising goals and track progress.
- Create donor outreach materials, such as newsletters and social media content, to increase engagement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising for nonprofits (preferred).
- Excellent research, writing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with donor databases and fundraising software (a plus).
- Passion for civil liberties and social justice.
