The UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center is excited to host the 2025 Survivorship Day on Thursday June 12, 2025, a special event to celebrate and honor cancer survivors while raising awareness and offering support to both patients and the broader community. We are reaching out to our community partners to help make this event a success by providing the following items, services, and support.

Wishlist for Event Needs:

1. Activity Supplies and Equipment:

  • Art Supplies:
    • Paints, markers, crayons, and brushes
    • Large paper or canvas for group art projects
    • Clay, beads, and other craft materials for creative expression
  • Relaxation and Wellness Supplies:
    • Blankets, essential oils, and soothing lotions for comfort stations
    • Massage chairs or portable massage tables for relaxation sessions
    • Music therapy instruments (e.g., drums, small instruments for interactive sessions)
  • Cooking and Nutrition Demonstration Tools: (ideally, have a food vendor handle this)
    • Portable blenders, juicers, or smoothie-making equipment
    • Healthy snacks and ingredients for cooking demos (fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc.)
    • Recipe cards or nutrition guides for cancer survivors
  • Physical Therapy Equipment:
    • Small exercise balls, resistance bands, or stretching mats for movement sessions

2. Volunteers and Staffing Support:

  • Volunteers:
    • Volunteers to assist with event setup, managing booths, guiding attendees, and facilitating activities
    • Volunteers with experience in wellness or physical therapy to assist with fitness and rehabilitation sessions
    • Volunteers to help with registration, patient navigation, and event coordination
  • Professional Services:
    • Massage therapists, acupuncturists, or reflexologists to offer services to attendees
    • Nutritionists or dietitians to provide cooking demonstrations
    • Child appropriate entertainment for our young patients and their families

3. Event Materials and Resources:

  • Decor and Event Supplies:
    • Banners, signs, or posters promoting Survivorship Day and related activities
    • Balloons, tablecloths, and decorations for booths and activity stations
    • Tents or canopies for outdoor activities or food trucks

4. Food and Beverage Donations:

  • Healthy Snacks and Refreshments:
    • Donations of healthy snacks (e.g., granola bars, fruit, nuts) for attendees
    • Beverages such as water, juice, or smoothies for hydration stations
    • Local food vendors or food trucks that specialize in healthy, nutritious meals
  • Cookware and Serving Equipment: (ideally food vendor will handle)
    • Portable cooking equipment for demonstrations (e.g., portable stoves, blenders)
    • Serving trays, utensils, napkins, and cups for food stations or tastings

5. Financial Contributions or Sponsorships:

  • Monetary Donations:
    • Contributions to help cover event costs such as materials, supplies, and volunteer support
    • Sponsorship opportunities for specific event activities or booths (e.g., fitness stations, survivor storytelling)
  • In-Kind Donations:
    • Donations of event supplies, services, or products to reduce event costs
    • Sponsorship of wellness activities such as yoga classes, music therapy, or survivor panels

6. Promotional Support:

  • Social Media and Marketing Assistance:
    • Help promoting the event on social media platforms or through local media channels
    • Flyers or posters to distribute in local businesses, schools, and community centers
    • Cross-promotion with local businesses or organizations to spread awareness about the event
