Mission: The mission of CECH is to prevent homelessness BEFORE it occurs.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our all-volunteer team as a Volunteer Secretary. Our non-profit group has been helping to prevent homelessness for more than 30 years in Chatham, MA, and its surrounding communities, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities: Attend and produce minutes from each monthly CECH board meeting, held both via ZOOM as well as in-person at the Chatham Community Center. Distribute minutes to all board members via email prior to the next month's board meeting.

The Chatham Ecumenical Council Helping Prevent Homelessness (CECH)is here to help our community by providing hope and financial assistance to individuals and families who are struggling with housing-related issues. Our mission is to keep our neighbors in their homes and provide them with a path towards a brighter future. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can lead to financial hardships and we are here to remove that burden. Our volunteers and donors are committed to making a difference for individuals and families in our community.
Description
For more than thirty years, CECH and its non-profit volunteers have cared for our neighbors and provided assistance to allow our neighbors to remain self-sufficient and to remain in their homes. CECH has provided financial assistance to more than 1,619 families in need, for a total of $1.6 million. CECH is a ready helper to those who temporarily fall behind in their bills due to medical issues, job loss, or personal famly tragedies.
