Volunteer Opportunity: Help Us Raise Funds for Healthy Hearts for Homeless Keiki!
This February, join our mission to ensure Hawai'i's homeless children have the resources they need to succeed-starting with new shoes!
Project Hawai’i, Inc.’s Healthy Hearts for Homeless Keiki program helps homeless children participate in school sports by providing them with the athletic gear and support they need to build self-esteem, develop teamwork skills, and create opportunities for a brighter future. New shoes are more than just footwear-they’re a foundation for confidence, health, and success.
Why New Shoes Matter:
- Health & Safety: Properly fitting shoes prevent injuries and ensure children stay active.
- Confidence Boost: A new pair of shoes helps children feel prepared and proud to participate.
- Opportunity to Thrive: These shoes allow kids to join teams, build skills, and dream big!
We’re calling on compassionate volunteers to help us raise funds and gather support to provide 200 homeless children with new shoes for sports and school this year! Each pair costs an average of $25.-$40, and your efforts can make this possible.
How You Can Help:
- Coordinate an Online Fundraiser: Use your creativity and network to raise funds! (we provide you with your own personal page and goal chart along with QR codes or links to share easily)
- Peer-to-Peer Campaign: Invite friends and family to help you meet your goal. We have found that asking 10 people to make a $10 donation is a simple and quick (usually one day) way to reach goals.
- Gift Card Collection: Organize a drive for gift cards to stores like Ross Dress for Less, TJMaxx or Target. Collected cards need to be mailed to our offices.
Every volunteer will receive:
A personalized online goal chart page to track donations.
The option to collect funds through our Venmo account for ease.
Support and guidance from our team to make your fundraiser a success.
Take Action This February!
Your time and efforts can directly change a child’s life. Be the reason a child can lace up new shoes and step confidently toward their future. Let’s make this month one to remember-together!
Sign Up Today: Message us to get started. Let’s give our keiki a running start toward success!
