The Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge program allows Military Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of their military service. Description:

The SkillBridge intern will gain experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with working at a national park. The work involves attention to a safe work environment while maintaining the park’s facilities, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. Duties may include carpentry, painting, light construction, opening and closing facilities, set up and breakdown of supplies and equipment for events, vehicle repair and maintenance, moving, lifting, and storing supplies, use of ladders and hand and power tools, monitoring and maintenance of utility systems, housekeeping and janitorial services, pest management, and recordkeeping.
