About GLASS SOLDIER

Location:

4800 STEINER RANCH BLVD APT 6303, AUSTIN, TX 78732, US

Mission Statement

To reduce the prevalence of sexual violence against military-connected individuals by delivering prevention initiatives and training to military personnel, fostering community collaborations, and offering survivor-centered recovery support that drives cultural change within the military.

Description

Glass Soldier started from the need and passion to help other survivors, after the assault our founder, Dr. Diandra Poe, endured at her first duty station.

We are a duty bound and data driven nonprofit organization dedicated to the support, prevention, and elimination of Sexual Assault in the Military. As a survivor-centered organization focused on building solutions that make a positive impact for survivors, we actively seek to reform the system to ensure all survivors and service members are provided a safe, respectful work environment and have access to a fair, impartially administered system of justice. We will end the epidemic of rape and sexual trauma in the armed forces and combat a culture of pervasive sexual violence, sexual harassment, and retribution against victims.
