About Green Scouts

Location:

103 Van Buren Drive, Paramus, NJ 07652, US

Mission Statement

Green Scouts focuses on environmental education, youth development, and conservation efforts. Through hands-on activities, community outreach, and advocacy, the organization inspires young individuals to practice sustainability and promote ecological stewardship in unique, innovative ways. Some key issues addressed include sustainable development, green nutrition, agricultural engineering, etc.

Description

Green Scouts began in September 2023 as a small school club and has since grown to include chapters in multiple states across the Northeast and South. We have engaged students in a variety of impactful projects, including designing and building automated hydroponics systems, creating sustainable cooking curricula for children (presented at NYC Climate Week at Columbia University!), and leading native plant identification nature walks to promote local biodiversity. With the addition of more chapters, we hope to expand our reach and develop new initiatives that support food security, sustainable development in low-income areas, and environmental education. Green Scouts is committed to building a brighter, greener future by inspiring individuals and communities to take part in meaningful environmental change.
