We are actively seeking volunteers to assist us at our 20th Annual Inspire Positive Aging Awards (IPAA) celebration in May. This event showcases and honors the contributions of older adults in our communities throughout western Washington.

Join our Event Volunteer Team! Raffle Ticket sellers will mingle with guests during the registration and networking hour to encourage patrons to buy raffle tickets. Ticket sales will resume during the intermission at kiosk area of registration lobby.

Mission Statement

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.

Description

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • A few hours prior to connect with volunteer team, along with 5 hours for event
  • Should be personable and comfortable with walking and standing for prolonged periods of time. Need to be enthusiastic and open to walking around and conversing with guests to garner ticket sales. Dress code is business casual with comfortable shoes.
