Position Overview:
BEFN is seeking a proactive and organized Membership Coordinator to join our team on a part-time volunteer basis. This role is vital to ensuring seamless communication with our members, managing membership records, and enhancing member engagement.

The Black Equipment Finance Network (BEFN) is a growing organization dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the equipment finance industry. Our members are the core of our success, and we are committed to fostering a vibrant, engaged, and supportive community.

Why This Role Matters:
Membership engagement, retention, and growth are essential for BEFN’s long-term success. The Membership Coordinator will play a critical role in connecting members to resources, streamlining the onboarding process, and keeping the community active and engaged.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the membership database to ensure accurate records.
  • Respond promptly to member inquiries and provide information about BEFN’s offerings and activities.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating member-focused events, including virtual and in-person gatherings.
  • Support membership renewal processes, including sending reminders and following up as needed.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies for member retention and growth.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with database management or CRM tools (preferred but not required).
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor to build positive relationships with members.
  • Passion for supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.

THE BLACK EQUIPMENT FINANCE NETWORK (BEFN) is a registered non-profit organization, made up of a network of equipment finance professionals who are working collaboratively to increase the participation of black professionals in the equipment finance industry, while providing networking opportunities for professionals currently working in the industry.
