If you are looking for a HANDS-ON experience where you can truly make an IMPACT, join our team as a Mentor and help us achieve our mission and vision of reaching our community of women, girls, and at-risk youth!

Why: As a Mentor, your role is to guide and support your mentee's personal and professional growth through a positive and respectful relationship. Your primary responsibilities include setting clear expectations, sharing expertise, and fostering a learning environment.

Who: The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to RESTORE HOPE, INSPIRE GROWTH, and EMPOWER GIRLS & WOMEN through housing, mental health services, education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services.

What to Expect:

Build a Positive Relationship: Establish trust and open communication with your mentee.

Set Clear Expectations: Define mentorship goals and expectations clearly.

Share Expertise: Offer relevant knowledge and guidance.

Listen Actively: Provide empathetic and constructive feedback while being an attentive listener.

Goal Setting: Collaborate on SMART goals and help create a plan.

Guide and Support: Offer advice, problem-solving, and support.

Encourage Growth: Challenge your mentee to grow personally and professionally.

Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer respectful feedback and suggest actionable steps for improvement.

Be Reliable and Punctual: Respect schedules and commitments.

Be Patient: Acknowledge different learning paces and styles.

Maintain Confidentiality: Keep shared information confidential.

Provide Emotional Support: Offer encouragement and celebrate achievements.

Lead by Example: Demonstrate professionalism and ethics.

Be Open to Feedback: Accept feedback and use it for self-improvement.

Reflect and Learn: Continuously reflect on your mentoring experiences.

Commit to the Relationship: Honor the agreed-upon mentorship duration.

Follow Program Guidelines: Adhere to program policies and reporting requirements.

What's Required:

Minimum Commitment: 1 yr.

Hours varied dependent on mentees
