We need volunteers 18 years of age and older to cover every facet of the activities at Raptor Rehab. As a volunteer wih RROKI you will have opportunities to participate in public and school presentations, medical treatment of sick and injured raptors, and the maintenance of birds used for educational presentations. You will be trained to identify, handle and medicate all types of raptors. You will rescue injured raptors and release rehabilitated raptors. Daily tasks include preparing and dispensing foods, cleaning and maintaining flight cgaes, jump boxes, and crates, and medicating and physical therapy on injured raptors.

Description
Raptor Rehab of Kentucky, Incorporated, (RROKI), is an organization devoted to the rehabilitation and care of injured raptors and the education of the public concerning a raptor's place in the ecosystem. As a volunteer with RROKI, you will have opportunities to participate in education presentations, medical treatment of sick or injured raptors, and the care of birds used for educational programs.We are a volunteer based program caring for approximately 300 raptors a year and our educational programs reach up to 100,000 people annually. Our work was started in the 1980s by a corps of dedicated volunteers. RROKI became incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1990.
