A Volunteer Opportunity for Retired Medical Professionals . . .
You Can Help Change the Life of Someone Who Has Fallen
We need volunteers who had a career in a medical profession and want to share those vital skills learned in support of an In-Home Fall Risk Screening program to help prevent falls among the elderly in our community. Now you have the time to make a difference and if you would like to discuss the opportunity with one of our volunteers we will make that connection.
Volunteer Skill Set looks like this . . .
- Good communicator
- Able to commit to a few hours per month
- Interested in helping Seniors prevent falls
- May have experienced falls amongst Seniors through work or personal experience
- Medical background to help understand the multi factorial contributors to falls.
- Previous career as a health care provider in nursing, physician, physical or occupational therapy, or EMS.
Time Commitment:
4-6 hours per screen, 4-6 screens per year, and flexible scheduling with each
