Join the Institute for Regional Conservation for an exciting day removing nonnative plants from Orchard View Park. IRC is looking forward to another wonderful volunteer day at Orchard View Park, where we intend to remove nonnative plant species that have been overtaking areas of the natural area to allow for natural regeneration of native plant species that will benefit the diversity of the park.

So join us for 3 hours on a Saturday morning and feel good that you'll be helping us restore our local park natural area! Bring yourself, a friend, and some enthusiasm! We have all the equipment you'll need and there is no experience necessary. Receive service hours!

Sign up to come along or email our coordinator with additional questions. A confirmation email containing all the event details will be sent to all registered participants on the day prior to the event.

PLEASE BRING WATER BOTTLE, SNACKS, SUNSCREEN, HAT, SUNGLASSES. WEAR CLOSE-TOED SHOES.

About The Institute for Regional Conservation

Location:

100 East Linton Boulevard, Suite 302B, Delray Beach, FL 33483, US

Mission Statement

A private non-profit organization, The Institute for Regional Conservation (IRC) is dedicated to the protection, restoration, and long-term management of biodiversity on a regional basis, and to the prevention of regional extinctions of rare plants, animals and ecosystems.

Description

Based in Florida, USA, IRC works on conservation research and action throughout South Florida, the Caribbean and beyond. Our work is premised on an innovative idea of conservation that seeks to protect and restore viable populations of all plant and animal species within a region, rather than simply focusing on charismatic animals or plants with narrow global ranges.
