Job Opportunity: Brooks Camp Interpretative Guide
We are seeking a dedicated and adventurous Brooks Camp Interpretative Guides to join our team in a dynamic role that involves working in some of the most remote and beautiful locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, group management, communication, and the ability to thrive in rewarding yet stressful environments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Work in remote areas with limited connectivity, requiring strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Manage interactions with visitors and stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service even in challenging circumstances.
- Navigate varying weather conditions, ensuring that safety and operational protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with the team to coordinate logistics of day-to-day work duties.
- Travel to remote destinations via boats or small float planes, demonstrating flexibility and readiness for varied travel conditions.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in customer service roles, particularly in high-pressure or remote environments.
- A strong sense of adventure and willingness to engage with the challenges posed by dangerous wildlife and unpredictable weather.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to foster a positive environment amidst stress and limited resources.
- Capability to think critically and make effective decisions with limited connectivity to traditional support systems.
**Things to Know**
-This position provides housing, with all necessary housing materials catered for.
-The park service handles your transportation to and from King Salmon to Brooks Camp.
-There are no retail stores located in Brooks Camp, all food and other desired supplies must be purchased either in King Salmon or shipped ahead of time to have while on location.
-On the job training is provided for park resource knowledge and safety.
-Work dates are not flexible; this is a full season of 3 weeks.
