Camp Host - Dry Camping
ORGANIZATION: National Park Service
Please visit the new page to apply.
Yellow Pine Volunteer Campground is a small administrative campground nestled in the woods next to the Merced River in Yosemite Valley. The sites at this special spot are almost exclusively occupied by volunteer and administrative users, and the total occupancy of the campground is fairly small. Our hosts work closely with the Volunteer Program Office to orient and assist volunteer campers, provide water, and facilitate a meaningful experience. We look for individuals or pairs of individuals to fill this position.
This is a very special position that works with the Volunteer Program team. Yellow Pine is a small dry campground (no hookups), with 6 group sites and 3 individual sites for volunteer and administrative use. You would be camping in Yellow Pine with the volunteers, serving as a primary point of contact for them to National Park Service staff. You will find that these service-minded people are mostly a joy to work with.
Hosts are usually expected to work 32 hours per week. Work hours may be variable since most host work is in the evenings and mornings. On your off days you will be welcome to explore Yosemite or the surrounding area however you like.
Please apply only if you are able to commit fully for the months of July and August 2025.
