Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, results-driven individual to volunteer as a Speaker for our Pathway to Success Seminar. This role is perfect for someone committed to helping young mothers balance their daily responsibilities while prioritizing self-care and personal well-being. As a Volunteer Speaker, you will lead a 45-minute session focused on equipping young mothers with practical tools for managing time, reducing stress, and handling conflicts in healthy, productive ways. This workshop aims to help participants achieve a healthier work-life balance and build resilience in the face of daily challenges.
We’re looking for a passionate, results-driven individual with:
Experience in personal development, life coaching, or stress management, particularly for young mothers or underserved communities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences, especially young mothers.
Knowledge of time management, stress management techniques, and self-care practices.
Empathy and the ability to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment for participants to learn and feel comfortable.
Organizational skills to deliver a clear, structured 45-minute presentation with actionable strategies and hands-on activities.
A commitment to South Project’s mission of empowering young mothers to thrive personally and professionally while maintaining their well-being.
Nice to have:
Background in psychology, counseling, life coaching, or social work.
Experience working with young mothers or underserved populations.
Previous experience delivering workshops or group training sessions focused on time management, stress relief, or life skills.
A passion for helping others improve their mental, emotional, and physical health.
Time Commitment:
1-2 hours for preparation and content creation.
45-minute presentation during the Life Skills and Self-Care Workshop.

Description
South Project is a support based nonprofit dedicated to empowering young mothers, under 30 years old, by providing mentorship, educational resources, and a supportive community. Our mission is to equip young mothers with the skills, confidence, and resources they need to overcome the challenges of early parenthood and build successful, independent futures for themselves and their children.
We offer personalized mentorship, educational workshops on topics such as parenting, financial literacy, and career development, as well as essential resources to help our participants thrive. Through these programs, we aim to reduce stigma, provide emotional support, and create opportunities for young mothers to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team and play a critical role in helping us expand our impact, develop sustainable fundraising strategies, and provide strategic guidance to achieve our mission.
