Vision SPAACES is Sarasota's home for visual arts studios and collaborative art programming. We nurture a vibrant arts community, foster artistic excellence, and bring people together for powerful shared experiences that inspire a creative exchange of ideas. SPAACES is a unique artistic microcosm in the Sarasota visual arts landscape, moving Sarasota up the ranks in art tourism.

Description

SPAACES (Sarasota Project Aligning Artists Communities Exhibits Studios) is a visual arts organization dedicated to supporting artists by offering affordable art studios, quality exhibitions, individualized attention, and an encouraging environment. SPAACES exposes the community to exciting new forms of art through lectures and exhibitions and provides collaborative space for community projects. SPAACES’ overarching goal is to serve professional, local artists while reserving 70% of its studios and exhibition opportunities for women artists to address gender inequality in visual arts. Currently, 100% of studios are rented to women and 75% of the 21/22 exhibiting artists are women. SPAACES plans to achieve our goals with these objectives: Board Development, Fundraising Planning, and Strategic Planning.
