Provide assistance on virtual sessions to high school seniors and parents with completing the steps of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

If you've done the FAFSA before, it's much more streamlined! Your role here is to provide assurance and some troubleshooting for families who are new to the process.

Volunteers will receive ample training and sessions can be scheduled at your convenience. You do NOT need to be a financial aid expert to be very helpful to students.

About FAIR OPPORTUNITY PROJECT

Location:

821 E WASHINGTON AVE STE 200G, MADISON, WI 53703, US

Mission Statement

Fair Opportunity Project provides college application information and support services, a comprehensive guide, and fiscal sponsorship for education organizations and scholarships. We aim to help students attend and afford college, while also exploring other opportunities post-high school.

Description

Fair Opportunity Project (Fair Opp) is a nationally-recognized, federally-funded education nonprofit. Every year, Fair Opp sends free college application advice to over 63,000 public educators via our guide. We also have over 100 college and financial aid mentors who help students maximize their aid, put together winning applications, and file the FAFSA.

Fair Opp has been featured in Forbes 30 Under 30, the New York Times, and the Harvard Education Magazine.

We are able to provide these resources through private and public donors, and we are happy to say they are all free for students.
