Health Emergency Initiative (HEI) aims to empower volunteers by promoting and fostering compassion, teamwork and professional growth while also promoting public health awareness and community impact

Description

History:
Health Emergency Initiative (HEI) is a Nigerian non-governmental organization established to provide financial assistance and emergency care for indigent patients, ensuring no life is lost due to the inability to afford medical treatment.

Goals:

  1. To provide timely financial aid for emergency medical care.
  2. To promote public health awareness through training in CPR, first aid, and road safety.
  3. To collaborate with healthcare providers, corporate organizations, and volunteers for sustainable impact.

Programs:

  1. Indigent Patient Support: Funding treatments costing less than ₦20,000 for vulnerable patients.
  2. First Responders Club: Training secondary school students and teachers in first aid and emergency response.
  3. Post-Crash Care: Assisting road accident victims with prompt medical intervention.
  4. Volunteer Engagement: Empowering individuals to actively participate in humanitarian efforts.

Achievements:

  1. Saved countless lives through financial support for emergency treatments.
  2. Established partnerships with organizations like Microsoft, Total Energies, and the Federal Road Safety Corps.
