Description
History:
Health Emergency Initiative (HEI) is a Nigerian non-governmental organization established to provide financial assistance and emergency care for indigent patients, ensuring no life is lost due to the inability to afford medical treatment.
Goals:
- To provide timely financial aid for emergency medical care.
- To promote public health awareness through training in CPR, first aid, and road safety.
- To collaborate with healthcare providers, corporate organizations, and volunteers for sustainable impact.
Programs:
- Indigent Patient Support: Funding treatments costing less than ₦20,000 for vulnerable patients.
- First Responders Club: Training secondary school students and teachers in first aid and emergency response.
- Post-Crash Care: Assisting road accident victims with prompt medical intervention.
- Volunteer Engagement: Empowering individuals to actively participate in humanitarian efforts.
Achievements:
- Saved countless lives through financial support for emergency treatments.
- Established partnerships with organizations like Microsoft, Total Energies, and the Federal Road Safety Corps.
