Working closely with the rangers at Castle Clinton National Memorial, volunteers will assist in operating tours and museum services at The Castle. Volunteers will be relied upon as stewards of the historic fort. Work will be public facing some indoors, but mostly outdoors as a part of regular operations. Training materials and time on or off-site will be provided to the volunteer to promote site knowledge before public interactions. A uniform will be provided and will be required during working hours. Volunteer will need to coordinate their own transportation to and from the site. The 1, 4, 5, N and Path trains are very close by
