KITS Childcare Volunteer is responsible for providing childcare during KITS Club. Parents are on-site during sessions. This position is 1-5 hours a day, depending on your availability and the schedule. As it currently exists, KITS Club is Tuesday and Wednesdays between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. With the most immediate childcare need being from 9am-11am.
Support the KITS Program Coordinator in the following:
Provide childcare services to children ages 0-5 whose parents are participating in the KITS Program
Provide a loving, safe, and supportive environment for children, including positive child guidance
Execute lessons designed to engage and enrich very young children
Organize fun activities for children ages 0-5
Responsible for set up and clean up at each session
Track supplies for childcare, including toys, books, etc., and inform the Program Coordinator when items need to be replenished
Track snacks for childcare and inform the Program Coordinator when items need to be replenished
If you wish to get intern credit, we can work with your college or university to facilitate that process!

The Making Hope Happen Foundation is aiming to share opportunities, resources, and hope with the students of San Bernardino City. With the help of our community, educators, leaders, and you...we are making a difference. Our programs include the Karnig Infant Toddler Success Program - KITS - (https://www.infanttoddlersuccess.org/index.html), Mentor-Supported Scholarships (https://makinghope.org/givescholarships/), Mental Health First Aid Trainings for Adults and Youth (https://www.mhhfmentalhealth.org/), and Uplift San Bernardino (www.upliftsb.org). We are serving cradle to gray efforts in San Bernardino, join us as we connect parents to resources, teach mental health first aid, provide scholarships to higher education, increase homeownership, increase small business, connect local youth to career opportunities, and take care of our planet!
