Make a Difference After School!
Join the Running & Reading Club and inspire the next generation!
Help kids in Grades 1-6 build confidence, stay active, and develop a love for reading-all while having fun and making lifelong memories. Be the mentor who motivates, encourages, and empowers young minds to thrive.
The Start2Finish Running & Reading Club is a fun after-school program that encourages literacy, healthy active living, and play. The program runs from October to May one afternoon a week for two hours. Volunteers support students in various movement and reading activities. As a result, students stay in school, build self-confidence and develop positive friendships with mentors and peers. With mentor Coaches, students discover the possibilities of a brighter future.

Time : Thursdays 3:15-5:15PM
(In addition, there is 20-30 minutes program prep review the weekly session activities, and arrival 10 minutes before the shift and 15 minutes after the program for dismissal and clean up)

Description
For the last 20+ years, what has driven us is the desire to make Canada one of the best places to raise a child. Our work targets three outcomes for school-aged students living on the margins:
- Increased physical activity and social-emotional agencies,
- Aid in reaching and maintaining literacy skills and
- Developing skills and agencies that contribute to success in high school.
