A Home of Their Own is committed to saving as many dogs and cats as we can while finding them the best possible forever homes. Once an animal is adopted, we will offer education, training, outreach and support to create a community of happy adopters and their pets.
Are you a compassionate, patient individual or household who wants to give a dog the
best possible start in life? Then fostering with AHOTO may be an excellent opportunity
for you. This challenging, yet rewarding, position allows you to discover a dog’s true
personality and the environment in which they flourish. You also enable AHOTO and
local shelters to serve more animals in need. A dog foster will give food and loving
attention to the dog(s) in their care. The foster will also bring their dog(s) to at least 2
adoption shows per month, so their animals gain experience with the public and have
more chances to be adopted.
If you want to help a dog find their forever home, please
