Life Hospice, based out of Livingston, NJ, with an office in Somerset as well, is looking for kind, compassionate volunteers to provide companionship to our patients. We serve 6 counties, including Bergen, Essex, Union, Passaic, Morris, and Somerset. Patient and family support can include playing puzzles, reading to patients, playing card games, listening to or playing music, sharing a cup of tea or coffee, or just sitting quietly while the patient's family caregiver can take a break. Visits will be in the patient's home, whether that be a private home or a facility. We are also looking for Reiki practitioners, licensed massage therapists, and certified pet therapy volunteers.
