Internship Overview

The Fundraising and Outreach Intern will support the development team in raising funds, building relationships with donors, organizing fundraising events, and increasing awareness of the organization’s mission. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in researching and identifying potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
  • Draft fundraising proposals, grant applications, and donor communications.
  • Support donor engagement efforts, including email campaigns, thank-you letters, and impact reports.
  • Help plan and coordinate fundraising events, crowdfunding campaigns, and sponsorships.
  • Manage donor databases and maintain accurate records of fundraising activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote fundraising initiatives on social media and other platforms.
  • Assist in developing outreach materials, presentations, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Participate in networking and outreach activities to expand the organization’s donor base.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Experience with social media, marketing, or event planning is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for the nonprofit sector and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Familiarity with fundraising platforms (e.g., GoFundMe, Kickstarter) and donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Bloomerang) is a plus.
