The Marketing & Sales Internship at AAWTA offers a hands-on opportunity for students and emerging professionals to gain practical experience in marketing, sales strategies, and brand development within the commercial trucking industry. Interns will work closely with the AAWTA leadership team to support community engagement, membership growth, and corporate partnerships.
This internship is ideal for individuals who are passionate about digital marketing, content creation, social media engagement, sales strategy, and outreach initiatives that drive business growth and advocacy.
What You Will Learn:- Marketing & Brand Development: Learn how to develop and execute marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and content strategy.
- Sales & Membership Growth: Gain insights into customer acquisition, lead generation, and strategies to expand AAWTA's membership and partnerships.
- Content Creation & Digital Engagement: Work on creating compelling social media content, blog posts, and newsletters to enhance AAWTA's brand visibility.
- Business Development & Sponsorships: Assist in identifying sponsorship opportunities, corporate partnerships, and community engagement initiatives.
- Event Marketing & Fundraising: Support the planning and promotion of fundraising and networking events to attract sponsors and attendees.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Learn how to track and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize outreach and engagement strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing, including social media management (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus
- Interest in sales, business development, and corporate sponsorships
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a virtual environment
- Passion for advocacy, diversity, and inclusion in the transportation industry
- Gain real-world experience in marketing and sales within a national nonprofit organization
- Work closely with industry leaders and expand your professional network
