What to Expect:

Craft blog posts, articles, and press releases to highlight 5-Eleven Hoops' initiatives and community impact.

Pitch story ideas to local media outlets, increasing visibility and awareness of the organization's mission.

Develop content for the website, newsletters, and social media platforms to keep the community informed and inspired.

Collaborate with the communications team to ensure brand voice consistency across all platforms.

Conduct interviews with staff, volunteers, families, and participants to capture authentic success stories.

Assist in creating media kits and distributing content to relevant outlets, ensuring maximum reach.

What's Required:

Exceptional written communication skills and a knack for storytelling.

Familiarity with PR and social media strategies to effectively promote the organization.

Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Experience in writing blog posts, articles, or press releases is a plus but not required.

Creativity and a passion for crafting content that resonates with diverse audiences.

A genuine dedication to the mission of 5-Eleven Hoops and supporting the neurodivergent community.

Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to fast-paced content needs.

Time Commitment:

Flexible scheduling based on content deadlines and project demands.

An estimated 5-10 hours per week, with additional hours during events or campaigns.

Remote work opportunities with occasional check-ins to discuss upcoming projects and goals.

Volunteers are encouraged to manage their workflow while ensuring timely submission of articles and media pieces.
