The Black Equipment Finance Network (BEFN) is a dynamic organization dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the equipment finance industry. As we grow, ensuring accurate financial management and transparency is critical to achieving our mission.

The Black Equipment Finance Network (BEFN) is currently looking for a skilled volunteer bookkeeper to assist with our financial operations. This remote position requires up to six hours per month and is ideal for someone with strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, as well as experience with QuickBooks and non-profit organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize financial records
  • Monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with non-profit financial regulations

This is an excellent opportunity for a retired accountant or anyone looking to give back to the community by leveraging their expertise in a mission-driven organization that supports diversity and inclusion within the equipment finance industry.

Requirements:

  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial analysis (nonprofit experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks financial software and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized financial records.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial practices, including tax compliance, preferred.
  • A passion for supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.

THE BLACK EQUIPMENT FINANCE NETWORK (BEFN) is a registered non-profit organization, made up of a network of equipment finance professionals who are working collaboratively to increase the participation of black professionals in the equipment finance industry, while providing networking opportunities for professionals currently working in the industry.
