International SEVA is a nonprofit dedicated to community service, health, and education initiatives. We are launching a New Project at senior centers and need an experienced Funding & Events Specialist to secure grants, donations, and execute successful fundraising events.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Funding & Events Specialist to research and apply for grants, coordinate fundraising efforts, and plan engaging events. Previous fundraising events, including online auctions, walkathons, and basketball tournaments, had minimal success, so we need strategic planning and execution to improve outcomes. The specialist will also manage and coordinate volunteers for fundraising initiatives and community programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Grant Writing & Fundraising - Research funding opportunities, write compelling grant proposals, and build donor relationships
- Event Planning & Execution - Organize fundraising events (e.g., online auctions, walkathons, basketball tournaments) with improved marketing and outreach strategies
- Volunteer Coordination - Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for fundraising and nonprofit initiatives
- Donor & Sponsor Outreach - Develop partnerships with businesses, sponsors, and community organizations to support fundraising efforts
- Campaign Development - Implement new and innovative ways to raise funds through digital campaigns and community engagement
- Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or event planning
- Strong skills in marketing, donor relations, and nonprofit development
- Ability to plan and execute events with measurable results
- Experience in volunteer coordination and team management

- Generous funding from individuals, Corporations, Foundations to provide hygiene kits, meals, groceries and educational/craft supplies for underprivileged and special needs children.

- Provide much needed & deserved well-being, joy & comfort through educational, wellness awareness, advocacy, religious & social services.
- Provide poverty relief & share local community-based services with commitment & unwavering desire to always serve mankind with passion, persistence & hard work whenever & however possible to live with inner/mental peace. Promote self-fulfillment and self-sufficiency.
