We're a nimble, forward-thinking board looking for fellow arts lovers who want to ensure theater thrives for years to come. It's a plus if you have experience in any of these areas: Fundraising, nonprofit management, or prior board experience. Joining the Palo Alto Players board will give you an opportunity to provide hands-on, strategic guidance to a local, professional theatre company with both a long history and a vision for the future.
Board Members will serve a three-year term, to be eligible for re-appointment for an additional three-year term.

Mission Statement
With community at our core, Palo Alto Players is the home for creating exceptional theatre experiences that inspire, entertain, and enrich the lives of our local artists and audiences.
Description
With over 90 years of operational history, Palo Alto Players is a well-established fixture of the performing arts landscape in the Bay Area, known for being a theatre of the community, and for the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Palo Alto Players continued to connect our community, reaching over 1,800 households in 35 states and 7 countries to date, and to expand theatre access, through innovations such as closed captioning for virtual shows, Pay-What-You-Choose pricing, and equitable outreach to prospective artists. We are an advocate and resource for arts organizations and other nonprofits both now and during the pandemic. We are on a journey to refine administrative and artistic processes that advance our mission through an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Liberation (IDEAL) lens, setting the example for a theatre of the future that serves the whole community.
