As a volunteer, you gain valuable skills, work outdoors, meet new people, see a new area, and achieve a proud sense of contributing to the visiting public and promoting positive stewardship of public lands.
USACE, Dale Hollow Lake. Seeking adult single or couple for day-use volunteer host for Pleasant Grove Recreation Area in Celina, TN. Position currently available, May to October 2025. Duties include but are not limited to overseeing day-use area, instructing guests on how to use automated pay station, checking vehicle paid status, issuing loaner life jackets, and providing visitor information and assistance. Office is provided. Position will coordinate with another volunteer ensuring maximum coverage of the area, including holiday work. *Volunteer site is about 2 miles from work site, must be willing to commute the short distance on workdays. Volunteer hours, 20 hours a week, in exchange for site with water, electric, and sewer. Laundry is included and Wi-Fi is available near the registration center.
