Summary:
The Director of Program Evaluation will support the growth and sustainability of the Veterans Yoga Project by working closely with the Executive Director, Programs, Marketing, and Director of Regions to support data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting. This initiative will seek to disseminate findings, improve existing VYP programs, as well as inform potential new opportunities.
Preferred experience and compentencies:
Strong experience in academic research, including statistics, research design, and/or publication would be ideal.
Relevant graduate work preferred
Experience in collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data
Some working knowledge related to yoga and/or veterans is ideal
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
Be self-directed and willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
Ability to work with a team, as well as coordinate support volunteers (e.g., program evaluation volunteers)
Respect and maintain confidentiality of Veterans Yoga Project volunteers, families, and donors
Enthusiasm for the mission of the organization
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate evaluation volunteers who directly support programs
Coordinate data collection and analysis
Prepare reports and share findings with the VYP Team
Reach goals
Help formalize evaluation questions and research methodologies
Identify and pursue opportunities for publication of findings

Veterans Yoga Project is a national 501(c)3 on a mission to support recovery and resilience among our veterans, military families and communities. VYP envisions a future where all those affected by trauma have access to a full range of mind-body practices and programs, and is committed to providing these tools and training in Safer, Predictable and Controlled environments (SPaCe).
Founded in 2011, Veterans Yoga Project is an IAYT member school, an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider and a certified Yoga Alliance School ( RYS-200 YACEP). Working in partnership with veterans, active-duty military personnel, student veterans' organizations , veterans treatment courts and other non-profit organizations, VYP-trained instructors and clinicians provide programs, resources, connections and teach over 100 free yoga classes each week.
