We are excited to invite dedicated volunteers to assist with our upcoming Glow For A Cause event, a 5K Mental Health Walk hosted by CITCA. This impactful initiative aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health while raising awareness about mental health challenges and suicide prevention.
We are looking for volunteers to assist both in the planning and preparation stages before the event and with key tasks on the day of the event.

Time: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: Park Heights Community
We welcome enthusiastic individuals, particularly those who are mental health advocates or students studying psychology or related fields, to help with the following tasks:
Before the Event- Organizing:
- Assisting with event planning
- Offering suggestions for necessary resources and items
- Helping identify and secure needed resources
- Logistics:
- Managing inventory
- Promoting the event
- Assisting with storage and supplies
- Fundraising:
- Raising funds to support the event
- Reaching out to organizations and businesses for sponsorships or donations
- Event Logistics:
- Assisting with event setup and preparation
- Guiding attendees to mental health empowerment stations
- Distributing informational pamphlets
- Handing out glow sticks, wristbands, t-shirts, and other items
- Guiding participants along the walk route to ensure no one gets lost
- Supporting event breakdown and cleanup

Counselors in the Community Alliance- CITCA serves disadvantaged individuals throughout the United States from urban & rural communities with mental and behavioral health resources by increasing access to services, resources and support for children, adults and families impacted by poverty and poverty-related issues and bridge the gaps to strengthen community resilience through stewardship, economic opportunities, health and education equity.
Description
CITCA is a national 501c3 on a powerful mission to increase strengthen mental health awareness and community resilience. Our association includes a collaborative alliance among counselors, mental health professionals, and community members nationwide engaging in civic community activities that promote mental health awareness and resiliency. Through such allyship the organization strengthens anti-poverty initiatives that bridge the gaps on access to care and socioeconomic resources including programs, education and employment resources.
Since incorporating the nonprofit has been driving impact in social emotional learning, SEL and increasing access to counseling services for low income families. The organization also offer programs for youth leadership development, advocacy, community resources and programs that contribute to prosocial development and other services to close equity gaps
We are seeking volunteers to serve with us who share similar passions to increase mental health awareness and strengthen communities. Volunteers are the driving force our mission would be incomplete without and we welcome all with a passion too serve.
