The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers along the Tennessee Tombigbee waterway is looking to fill/recruit for positions in multiple locations in Mississippi and Alabama. Volunteers/hosts are needed at Dewayne Hayes Campground, Blue Bluff Campground, Pickensville Campground, and Town Creek Campground. We are looking for volunteers/hosts to work in gatehouses, open/close gates, check in/out campers through Recreation.gov, blow off campsites, and clean out fire pits as needed.
These positions are not paid positions; however, for your commitment to volunteer/host, we will provide a full hook up campsite for the duration of your stay. We also provide laundry services at the campground for your use.
It is recommended for the volunteer/host to have basic camping knowledge. You must provide your own RV/camper to live in. The working environment consists of mostly outdoor activities. A basic background check is conducted upon acceptance of position.
