Madison Campground Host

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

This National Park Service Volunteer-In-Parks position functions within the Visitor and Resource Protection Division of Yellowstone National Park. The applicants selected for this volunteer position will be full time, (32 hour/week) uniformed members of the workforce.


As members of the workforce, volunteers are expected to be active participants in our safety program and to practice safe work behaviors. Additionally, the volunteer is expected to contribute to a positive workplace culture where respect and professionalism are a priority and negative behaviors such as harassment and bullying are not tolerated.



Applicants may be considered for positions at the Madison Campground. The National Park Service will provide a campsite with utilities (water, sewer, and electric hookups) within the campground. The campground host will provide their own RV/trailer.


These campgrounds are operated under a concession contract by Xanterra Parks and Resorts. Xanterra handles reservations, fees and maintenance in the campground.


Internet and cell phone connectivity at this campground is not available.
